We came to college .... many of us knew not why, we embarked upon an educational program that was to carry us through four years of study preparatory to a teaching career. And many of us will emerge, diploma in hand, unaware of the forces to which we have been exposed, and unimpressed by the important changes that have come about within us. It is because these forces do not hit with an impressive impact, because the development is subtle and gradual that we some- times overlook its importance. The whole product is composed of many elements which merge and combine to become the complete picture of a journey to integrity. The elements are both academic and social in nature. Each experience becomes a part of our education and is absorbed into the whole which will ultimately become the teacher: a more complete, integral, thinking being than was the eager but imperfect student. W And, although the years here have been a time of growth and improvement, we have not reached the zenith of per- fection, nor will we cease to grow. For the graduate in the vast horizon of society is as the freshman in the smaller scope of the college. We here present the total picture of our development. We have assembled the elements . . . the people, organiza- tions and functions which unite to bring us to the point of readiness for our roles in society and education.

views Within these holls the process of our preporotion is monifested. Here ore housed the elements . . . the forces. And here, molded by the skilled honds of the educotor, they become the tools of our development. This is the one stotic element of influence, for olthough new people, new ideos ond new methods sholl come into being, the symbol of trodi- tion propogoted by the spirit of our Almo Moter will live on unchonged in our memories.
