Zin 51-Blnzmuriam DIED IN SERVICE DONALD VVEDEL We remember a slight, blond boy, sitting in the lounge and laughing- everyhody's friend. We remember his special brand of sophisticated humor - typically Don , vve'd say. And we remember his lively participation in class discussions, at the end of which everyone would be more confused than ever , in his Words. Yes, We remember Don Wedel as he would want to be remembered-as a good kid, everybody's friend.

anim 'Wckztoaq We began our Freshman year with the usual greenness and gawkiness but it wasn't long before we found our place in the college routine. In our wanderings, we became acquainted with the library as well as the lounge! VVe consumed mounds of doughnuts and cider at our l-lallowe'en party, took part in the Christmas vespers and caroling, and wound up the year with a Calendar assembly to show the upper- classmen that we really did work hard once in a while. Then we were Sophomores with a somewhat depleted membership due to acceleration and the draft board. Chasing bugs Conly those with six legs need applyl, cutting up frogs and sitting up till 3:00 in the morning writing inventories left our spirits undaunted. At the present we are classified as the Jolly juniors. Though few in number we have been able to hold our own with the sudden onpour of men. VV e were also greatly honored in having three of our class elected as officers of the Student-Faculty Association. After the heated election campaigns, we were busy preparing for our assembly which was given in November. Faced with the problems and tribulations of cadeting we hope to emerge tri- umphant. The coming year promises to be one of increased activity and responsi- bility, but in spite of this, we are looking forward to our Senior year at B. S. T. C. - S r -3 I iff If 9 3 f r rg 00
