The sixties saw the de-emphasis and the decline of the Greeks, a strong institution at W M the decade before. The frats at the lodges instead of the new complex. A very-much-the-same sorority court. The decline of the Greeks culminated in the death of Sigma Nu last year. And now a surprising resurgence. Sororities and fraternities have made some necessary changes and are attracting freshmen interest. The de-emphasis of sports, however, is a 70 ' s thing. The years before favored pep rallies and bonfires, cheering sections and cheerleaders. Listlessness from the spectators and a lack of commitment from the players tells the story today.
