Eta Circle was estab- ished at William and Mary in 1921. The Society is national in character, having circles in fifty-seven colleges and universities. The purposes of ODK are to recognize men who have attained a high standard of efficiency in collegiate activities, to bring to- gether the most representative men in all phases of collegiate life, and to bring together members of the faculty and student body on a basis of mutual interest and understanding. ODK recognizes eminence in five phases of campus life: scholar- ship; athletics; social and religious activities; publications; and forensic, dramatic, musical, and other cultural activities.
