In all our arduous labors, we have never been unmindful ot the source of our inspiration, the sacred reverence tor the trlorv ot our Alma Mater, so closely interwoven with the memories ot Colonial ' irginia. We have endeavored to embody in this little volume, only w hat has the greatest claim to merit, what best represents our college life, and what, in later years, when in a reminiscent mood we excavate this time-worn volume from its hiding place, will give us the most vivid and the most pleasant pic- ture of The days that are no more Gentle reader, then judge our aim I Should we have tailed, to us alone attribute all the blame.
