From the Main, from the Reserve, from the Depository, and from the Library School students and faculty awaited the signal to go. For three days the lines converged on the new library until all books were in.

, W T1-IE MOVING A roving line watcher heard snatches of whisperings as she passed. I wonder what the goodies will be this time?', asked one hungry carrier. Guess it'll be date-bars again, replied her co- worker. Further on, one book-mover was heard to comment that she had been carrying books for four hours - through metaphysics, American Literature, li- brary science, and another class she couldn,t remember. Soon the line watcher herself found a stack of books in her arms and became a link in the chain.

The hour finally arrived when, at the Big-Little Sister Party, the freshmen knelt to be freed from the burden of their purple and gold beanies. The student body became one as the standouts no longer stood out. Yes, we had a hot time in the old gym that night as we became participants of a mock convention. Who was our candidate? Well, naturally the Abolitionist of Freshmen beanies. FEES!-IM EN Freshmen arrived with trunks, suitcases, boxes, and even pet gold fish. That Hrst day was spent trying to put everything away and wondering what the future days had to offer. Little did these carefree underclass- men realize the impending threats of clean- ing rooms, carrying upperclassmenls books, and singing solos in the smoker if they failed to observe the age old tradition.
