What is your general observation about the U.S.A., C.S.I., and Twin Falls? U.S.A. My first impression is disorderlyg QI was in Los Angeles be- forej. The people of the U.5.A. have their own strong opin- ions about anything, are very independent, but free and easy. They have a broad idea. Their idea is very different from out insularism. C.S.I. I need strong courage to study here, but I appreciate that every teacher and student is very kind to me. There is a peace in this campus, no demonstration. TF This terrible cold weather seemed to kill me first time. I'm ' very happy to see a lot of snow. People are very kind. Shigeko Maeda 1. What is your general observations about the U.S., C.S.I., and Twin Falls? - When I arrived in US. A. I thought they have a lot of waste lands. The custom is different from japanese custom. Some of them I like, some of them I don't like. I felt American people is so free I like freedom, but I think they need to understand people around them. The boys are so kindness. I don't know woman-live very well, but I don't like it from my knowledge of . 1 Tell us about your hometown its importance etc. Wagner deCamargo 1. What do you think of American food, girls or boys, and our basic living standards? I love American food! I-Iumm! The girls also! The basic living standard here in America I'm sure is one of the best. 2. Any other comments you would like to make. I'l like to express my appreciation for everyone who has been helping me and supporting me on my school work, especially the teachers. I'm glad I had a chance to know everyone, teachers and friends, you made my staying here a great adventure which I'll remember always. Well what s happening in my hometown, or the island right now is that the islands are trying to free themselves from the United States. The reason why is because we've been under the United States administration for twenty years, yet, nothing is changed. There is no progress. For example, education and economics, we think that if we ourselves could do something then there would be a change in the standards of living. 2. What is your general observations about the U.S., C.S.I., and Twin Falls? I would say that here at C.S.I. in Twin Falls we ought to have more social activities and things like that. Because I think to make a better school then we need more activities and enter- tainments. 190

I Garry Mobel 1. Why did you come to C.S.I.? I came to the College of Southern Idaho because it is a very good school and is not a very expensive college. It is easy for us to pay our room and board, tuition and everything we need because they gave us a financial aid and also work study program to help us for our education at C.S.I. 2. What is your general observation about the U.S., C.S.I., and Twin Falls? My general observations about the United States and the College of South- ern Idaho are coming to study the way of life and going back to teach our people about education and the way of life in the United States. Pablo Augustine 1. What do you think of American food, girls or boys, and our basic living standards? Boys and Girls are really good in their personalities and behaviors. The girls are acting like girls and the boys are acting like boys. Maybe there are some girls who don't show their respect for me, but as for me, I respect a girl no matter what they do. 2. Any other comments you would like to make. I arn pleased with the attitudes of the teachers and students here in the college. I will never forget their attitudes towards me. 192
