The charge of the Vocational Department of this College is to provide program offerings that are not only relevant to the stated objectives of its students, but to those of business and industry. The well qualified teaching staff of this De- partment, represents well over 500 years of experience within business and in- dustry. This staff is working daily at program development for a more relevant program offering. The students following the established program of study should be congraclulated in that they have selected goals which, when reached, will help them establish their place in a very complex society. ul' ' ,Ii RADIO AND TELEVISION TECHNOLOGY The first phase of this course covers the fundamentals of electronics, electromagnetic waves, Ohms Law, direct cur-' rent, alternating current capacitance and inductance are reviewed in detail. The second phase consists of an analysis of radio circuits, rectifiers, regulators, audio-amplifiers and the various types of oscillator circuits. The third section consists of actual repair and alignment of radio, using dif- ferent types of test equipment. Record players are studied and some time is spent on transistors. The last part of the course emphasized theory and servicing of color T.V.
