A unique feature of the team was the presence of four Canadians on the pitching staff. Early Giant Wins included their first in more than two years over the Fresno State IVs, an upset of previously un- defeated Bakersfield IC, a 15-O shellacking of Porterville, three straight over Los Angeles Valley, and a close one over Fresno IC. 5
