Social events sponsored by the group included barbecues, potluck suppers, and bowl- ing parties. The less brave members sit on the fence at Shady Acres, Saturday practice ground, and watch while die-hards bull-dog and rope. The femi- nine members do the fancy riding for the group. Under the leadership of club president Charles Pearson, members chose the candi- dates for basketball queen, and provided the fitting ceremonies for her crowning during the intermission at the dance.
