Tony lflcrning. llichard Bolton. and Paul lVlarkey made the three liam touchdowns and Mike Brown kicked the two P.A.T.,s which proved to lw tht- difference. o SOUTH COBB 6 South fiolmla scored tht- first time that it got its hand on the foollvall and that proved to lic the deciding factor in a tight, close mlcfcnsivc battle-. A defense headed by Bill Curry, Donald Cznlora. and Tommy Nlillians helped keep the Rams in the gannc. 7 We HEAIJLAND 'l'h 7 In front of an overflowing opcni game crowd, College Park jumped off a 7-0 lead on Richard Bolton's tour down scamper. However. Headla came back to tie the game on a luc break in the last quarter. Tony Flemi gained 102 yards. 0 AVONDALF A strong Avondale eleven made t' quick touchdowns and then held on hand the Rams their first defeat of I SPEISOII. We WESTM I NSTER Tl' 13 College Park took advantage of two Wildc'at mistakes ant defense that wouldn't give up in the clutch to blot Wt'SlIH steris otherwise perfect record this evening. The two R: touchdowns were scored on a l5 yard dash hy Richard Bolt and a runhack of an intercepted pass for 55 yards hy Ron: Cadora. 0 FAIRBURN The Rams stopped three Fairlvurn drives inside their 20-yr line to escape with a scoreless tie. The whole line deser' credit for their ability to stop Fairhurn when it counted, esp ially since a heavy rain prior to game time made the fit muddy and the ball-carriers slippery. 92

'l'ouchdowns were scored hy chard Bolton and Ronald Cadora. the iter coming on a 20-yard pass hy Tom- V Fields. lCI.RlCR'I'0N College Park and lflherton staged only one threat apiece in tight defensive hattle but the Rams were forced to accept a ut out defeat as their drive ended on Fflherton's two yard line the fading moments of the fourth quarter. HAPICVILIJC A fired-up College Park team handed the Hapeville Hornets -ir worst defeat of the season to tie lleadland for the suh- :ion title. 'l'ommy Fields and Ronald Cadora each scored 1 touchdowns while Bill Curry and Donald Cadora spear- uh-tt the stingy Rani defense. We HFADLAND They lit- 7 ln the play-off for the suh-region championship. College Park parleyed two touchdowns hy Richard Bolton and Larry Bruce into a play off match with South Cohh next Friday. Defense again proved to he the keynote of the evening as the Highlanders found it impossible to get the hig yard when they needed it. especially in the fourth quarter when they found themselves thwarted twice inside the Rams' twenty. 7 SOUTH COBB I9 A tired Ram team was suhclued hy an aroused South Cohh eleven to end their hid for the region title. The big moment for Ram fans came when Tommy Fields connected on a 37-yard pass to Jimmy Gresham. V 92
