Introduction What makes College Park High School tick? We enter high school in the eighth grade, awed by the seemingly tons of books given us. We go through the days, following the course set before us by our administra- tion. Then as the months fly by us we no longer follow a course prescribed for us by others-at last we are someone and we can choose our own way. Soon we discover there is more to this institution than mere books and study. We begin to take parts in clubs and sports. Unforgetable moments come with big games and Sponsor,s Days. Then the long awaited moment arrives, the class rings have come. Soon plans take shape for the biggest dance of the year, one for which we waited 3 years for the privilege to attend, our Junior-Senior Prom. Then, as our high school days reach their apex, we are filled with happiness-and yet with a certain sadness, too. All too soon we realize that just as we seem to really belong, it is time to take another big step. It is time to begin once more in a new and different way of life. Time to leave our friends behind-both teachers and students, and as we leave we can look back and see that we are glad to have had a part in making College Park High School tick.
