grew 'tif' il? -r -1 J Although the service is primarily for maternity worla every expectant mother is subject to all human ailments: Consequently, the student not only has the maternity work: but also a rounded course in internal medicine, pediatrics minor surgery and a host of other types of practice. Accurata records are kept of all cases at the clinic as well as deliveries and postpartum care. The student has the opportunity o observing patients from the early stage of pregnancy to ter and delivery and for their postpartum examinations. Fre quently, more than a hundred patients are cared for at th regular clinic sessions. The entire Los Angeles City Healt Department is available for special cooperation in carin for these cases. Mrs. Coyle Receptionist mul Secretary Answering the demand of modern therapy in osteopathic medicine, the College of Osteopathic Physicians and Sur- geons opened its Rehabilitation Center on july lst, 1952. The Rehabilitation Center, under the able leadership oh Dr. W. W. W. Pritchard, has become an important adjunct to osteopathic manipulative technique and student physi- cian training. The need for a rehabilitation center has been more evi' dent with each passing year but the space was not available until the new osteopathic clinic was completed on january lst, 1952. Now, still within its first year of operation which included renovation of the old clinic building and procure- ment of necessary equipment, the center is treating some sixty-five patients, ranging in age from six months tc: seventy-six years.
