THE N A VTILUS lllSMltD - II I l llllllllll Bartlesville Senior high-College is now one of the most progressive schools in this district. The new buildings may well be said to look like something taken from a page of an architectural magazine, or trans- planted from the World's Fair. Every effort has been made to construct buildings that would suit all possible needs of the students and provide a beautiful surrounding that would be inducive to acquiring an education. The citizens of Bartlesville spent 5476332.29 on these buildings in order to obtain the best. The school board, superintendent of schools and principal spent many months con- sidering plans. After the architectural plans had been approvegl by the boa1'd, each teacher had to be consultel to see it' anything had been left out. Thus, these buildings were not built on the spur of the moment, b.it resulted from a long need and careful planning. We see here the result of such plannirg, a modern, attractive school. Tl.e class of 113.15 was fortunate to be the first class to graduate from these new buildings. It has been their privilege to enter the building at the time of its completion on January 8, 1940, and set standards of conduct for future classes to follow. The old building symbolizes the memories ol' the past, while the new, with its magnificent layout in dazzling whit-3 concrete, stands for the hopes of the future.
