As this merry group entered the Big Top, they were greeted by Roger Libsack, the police chief, who was keeping his eye on things. Next through the gate were Winona Brown and her kindergarten class. Winona is a splendid kindergarten teacher and soon will be promoted to the first grade. Just as the lights began to dim, Lee Vierow was seen taking notes on the circus for his story to appear in the Tribune. When the band swung into its first number, everyone noticed that it fea- tured Jim Bessee and his Booming Bass and Leonard Benson and Leonard's Loud Trombone. The ring master announced the first act. Ladies and Gentlemen for our first number Lynda Golze the girl with the flashing fins who was selected Mermaid of the Year will do a little swim for us The second number that was announced was Marvelous Maryann iWagnerl and her racing race horses straight from Kentucky She has quite a horse farm there near Lexington Immediately following Maryann Bob Pierre Smith kept us all in stitches with his latest ventriloquist routine The last act before intermission was the Dar ing Damsels on the Trembling Trapeze Their hair styles were the very latest done by Lucille Mackey who just received her certificate from Ramon in Paris During intermission many of the famous 55 graduates were introduced Good evening Mr Bell Ladies and gentle men this is the president of Bells Bells Incor porated the largest chain of stores in the West And here is Miss Julie Witwer the first woman mayor of Greeley Oh and His Honor Jack Henney who is still pounding the gavel as judge of the District Court We also have the extreme pleasure of having the rancher governor Gene Hettinger with us this evening Here are some more celebrities B ll Wright and his lovely wife Marilyn Monroe who are here filming the movie Dead Town e history of Greeley Well what do you know? Bill Wolfe and all his Little Wolfes made a howling success of their act. Bill raises all his dogs in the kennel he established shortly after he graduated. Near the end of the show Gladys Rusch and Marian Ewing, the champion lady wrestlers, gave an excellent demonstration.
