H' lk 1 Q M-his with the start of home coming week, we found the classes having meetings to pick the candidates for home coming queen The Seniors chose Rhonda Stevens, Juniors, Kay Tomlonovic, Sophomores, Margaret Sickora, and Fresh man, Susan Evans The finalists were picked Thursday They were Rhonda and Kay Thursday night the pep rally, bonfire, and snake dance were held at the football field Inspiring pep talks were given by co captains Don Russell and Paul Mason Friday the parade of floats was held In the parade were the lovely queen candidates, the marching hand and several beautiful floats The Colfax Tigers played Madrid for the homecoming game Colfax opened with an early 6 to O lead when Paul Mason scored from 7 yards out The try for the extra point failed A Lamb to Lenox pass scored the second touchdown, and this time the vital extra point was made At half time the queen candidates were driven onto the field leading the parade of floats This year a very unusual thing happened the votes for Rhonda and Kay were tied So there were two queens for homecoming They were crowned hy Don Russell and Paul Mason The winning float in the parade was the Seniors float nK1ck oft to victory To top off a perfect homecoming the Tigers won the game 13 12 Everyone agreed that this was one of the best home comings yet and will be long remembered by students and faculty as well A M12 m -1-N F 3' S L.
