The occasion for this change was the ennual Winter Formal sponsored by the senior. To create the wintry atmosphere a royal sleigh was made to seat the queen. Entrance to the dance was gained by going through an igloo. The Charnett©8 found themselves in a snowball. Punch was served by the junior high girls from behind a bank of snow. e r fhe center of attraction was a winter scene showing an ever- green tree decked with snow and a love seat beside a small pond. The aluminum foil stars sparkled bright- ly on the blue cloth over this peaceful scene. 0 r m During the midway inter- mission Marilyn Umphress was crowned queen of the gala occasion and pre- sented six red roses by Marlene Dolinsek, president of the senior class. After the coronation Marilyn and her escort danced a solo number. a I The Winter Formal was a highlighted event in the school year of '5U— '55.
