DEDICATION TO THE SPIRIT OF THE HIGH SCHOOL That Dauntless Spirit that has, sometimes, suffered defeat, but which has never yet been conquered-that Spirit which in despite of lim- ited material, meager equipment, and poor fa- cilities hung up one record at the greatest meet- ing of athletes in the Middle West, and estab- lished two records in the Iowa High School State Meet in competition with the best schools in Iowa-that Courageous Spirit that faltered for the first time when the movement for a gym- nasium fai'ed to meet the approval of the peo- ple of Colfax, but which is vigorous again, fight- ing with re-newed energy for all the activities that make a school fulfill its purpose-To That SPIRIT, WE DEDICATE THIS ANNUAL!
