CLASS PROPHEC Y Aslsit here slowly turning through the pages of my Senior annual, my mind wanders back to ten years ago, to the 1962 graduating class of Colfax High. Many things have happened since those wonderful Senior days. Mr. Bolen has retired and now lives a life of luxury on the warm sands of Wakiki Beach. Mrs. Streetman finally got her dream of going to France, and now teaches in one of its largest schools. Linda Lewis is now owner and designer of Paris Originals, the highest-priced dress shop in Paris. Becky Williard is her very stunning fashion model. Larry Morgan has just been elected President of the United States and his private secretary, Pat Stafford, thinks he'1l be the greatest president to ever enter the White House. Shelby Tucker is the head guide in the United Nation's building. Benny McGee now has himself a band called Little Ben's Combo. Along with him are Charles VonCannon as his piano player and Terry Marshall who plays the drums. They are presently playing at the Copa Cabanna where they have been for the past ten weeks. Larry Atkins is owner and manager of Goat's Twist Studio. Ronnie Sykes is his top instructor. They have just invented a new twist step, which the papers think is better than Chubby Checker's. Frances Fulk and Mary Sue Linville have just set up a new beauty salon. Frances creates the hair styles and Mary Sue fixes them. ' Ilene Fulk owns and manages Ilene's Singing School. Jewel Edwards is her very efficient secretary. Billy Ioe Tilley and Wayne Lawson have been playing with the New York Yankees for the past five years. Their manager, Harold Bame, thinks that they'll be able to retire in another ten years. ,Timmy Hedgecock is a building contractor. He is currently working on building the wor1d's largest bridge which will be located in his own home state, North Carolina. Anita Wier is doing laboratory technician work in the Walter Reed Hospital with Elizabeth Smith as her very competent assistant. Gary Voss is fast becoming one of Ho1lywood's top stars. It seems that he looked so much like Tarzan that Warner Brothers just cou1dn't resist hiring him. Nancy Atchison is now a well-known novelist and is about to publish her new book, THIS BEAT GENERATION. Linda Smith is top reporter on the New York Times and has just uncovered one of the largest narcotic rings in New York for which she was greatly rewarded. As for myself, I am featured as top singing star in The Pink Elephant, the largest night club in New York City and owned and managed by Philip Atkins. Prophetess - Io Westmoreland 27
