She has taught us many things which are not lcarned entirely from booksg such as, leading a noble life, being a right kind of citizen, and having the true characteristics of a loyal American. These are not difficult for her to teach, for she is an example of each. She will always have a place in our hearts. Principal Mr. Omohundro, our principal, has shown us the ideals of honesty, fair play! and advancement. We are grateful for having a man of such qualities and distinction as our principal. Harry Smith, has the distinction of aving attained the highest scholastic aver- age in the Senior Class of '52. Her average for her high school work is slightly above 95. , flaunt Student The Civitan Award that is presented each year by the Civitan Club of Greensboro to the best citizen of the Senior Class was won this year by Mary Ruth Smith. She is Presi- dent of the Beta Club, Editor of the annual, and Valedictorian of the class of 'S2. alutaforian Mildred Davenport has the honor of being Salutatorian of her graduating class, having the second highest average.
