POWELL, Principal Symbolizing the democratic form of government is our Student Council, made up of the Student Body officers and class representatives. One of the most important functioning groups in the school, the Council has assisted the fac- ulty in keeping our school program running smoothly, has introduced new and interesting ideas and has passed leg- islation on them, and has sponsored many important activities during the year. Many were its accomplishments. The Student Council sponsored the highly successful Homecoming Day with a huge Bonfire the preceding evening, initiated the Rally Squad, further organized the Pep Band, provided for the minutes of every meeting to be pub- lished in the COLD FACTS, introduced a Welcome Committee for new students, provided movies at noon during the second semester, sponsored the Freeman Cup, and in cooperation with the Eagles made it possible for high school students to Q attend special spring dances in the Eagles' Hall. During the year we, the students, S 1 M enjoyed many interesting student body meetings and programs. - F 8, Many thanks are due to this group of students who have rendered their services V w unselfishly toward the betterment of Colfax High School.
