They will pass before your eyes as the events of the year have paraded across the nine months the Bulldogs have worked and played and created together. To perfect this parade, increased effort, courage, and devotion on the part of these Bulldogs, has been taken. Some have left this parade ground for the battle-ground of democracy, and it is known that they will bring glory to their name and to the Bulldogs on Parade. So it is to those high standards of sportsmanship, courage. and loyalty that have made the Bulldogs great: and to those visions of freedom, democracy, and peace that have made them immortal--we dedi- cate this: THE 1942 BLUE AND GOLD Between the Covers yi' EMOCRATIC DEMAGOGUES XM Board l lpermtendent 6 I rincipal Ml ' Faculty 1 , f S ent Body Officers Q, ' W ,- 'fi ' Wfatchdogs O l Student Council l T 4 WMM? ,ff if E F UR DIMENSIONS ,lf Lf Senior Hall of Fame Class of '42 Class of '43 Class of '44 Class of '45 Associated Student Body D O I N ' S Dances Publications Clubs Drama Speech Constitution Calendar SWEET NOTES---AND HOT Twirlers Flag-Throwers Band Choir 'ATHLETIC ANTICS I Coaches Football Basketball Boxing Track Baseball Minor Sports MERCANTILE MIRACLES ' ' ' ' ' ' 0 0 O of et: as ,Q eg 5 eg eg Q: Q5 5 U O 0 O U O Q Q o 4 0 0 O 0 0 9 o, e,- Q.. of o.- of o.. These officers with the able assistance of the council. follow the official constitution in conducting student hody affairs. Student meetings are held to decide upon the more important issues and to hear financial reports. NX'ith the adoption of a complete new constitution this year to replace the one used for the last four years, it is expected that school affairs will run all the more smoothly. Although the .Xssociation is made up of students from hoth town and country, it would he an impossihle task to determine which were country hicks and which were city slickersf' These associated students, no matter what their political and social dif- ferences can always he counted on to huild up a Bulldog l'arade of which Colfax can he proud. 0 9 0 0 ,sn 9 0 0 0 - 0 if Z .4 as 9 g 0 , L s' on Q 6 ol' Q' Q' 1. 0. Destiny cut short this peaceful routine when the XVar Department asked the club to build 150 solid airplane models on an exact scale to train navy spotters. Immediately the members took interest and production soon ran at high speed. Even though these fellows were just high school students they portrayed true American spirit in the enthusiasm and accuracy which was characteristic of their work. They not only did a real service for their country in their own club but they helped lead surrounding high schools in this same work. Colfax High School may well be proud to have the Model Club marching in the llulldog's Parade.
