SCHUUL HDIHIHISTHHTUHS Superlntendent EBERLY HAMMACK Eberly Hammack was born 1n Evansvllle Ind1ana December 24 1907 He attended Pr1de Consol1dated School 1n Clay Kentucky where he took the college preparatory course He wa Vale d1ctor1an of h1s class He contmued h1S educat1on at Western Kentucky State College as an Engllsh major from wh1ch he graduated 1n 1931 w1th a Bachelor of Arts degree Mr Hammack rece1ved h1s Master of Arts degree 1n 1932 from the Un1 vers1ty of South Dakota From 1932 unt1l 1938 he held the pos1t1on of pr1nc1pa1 of Morton Gape H1gh HOPKIHS County Kentucky Unt1l 1942 he was d1S tr1ct superv1sor 1n the W P A program Then he became pr1nc1pal of Nortonv1lle H1gh S hool and was at Morganf1eld for three years two summers of wh1ch he spent at Peabody College acqu1r1ng h1s Doctorate 1n Enghsh In 1946 he was pr1nc1pal of H1ghland H1gh School and later of Prlde COHSO11 the U S Army after a medlcal d1scharge from act1ve duty 1n 1942 he came to Colera1n Townsh1p as Superlntendent 1n 1949 Edmond Hammond was born on September 17 1917 1n Lancaster Kentucky He graduated from Pa1nt LICK H1gh School 1n 1934 Ed Hammond ma tr1culated Eastern Kentucky State College where he magored 1n Commerce and Geography 1n the School of Educatmn H15 program was one of teach1ng along wlth h1s regular studles wh1ch resulted 1n a f1ve year course He graduated 1n 1939 w1th a Bachelor of S 1ence degree After teach1ng for three years he was 1nducted 1Ht0 the serv1ce for a br1ef per1od of tlme As a c1v1l1an aga1n he held a pos1t1on 1n a Federal Reserve Bank and then Wlth the Crosley Corporatlon before com1ng to Colera1n TOWHSh1P School 1n 1946 as a grade school teacher After three fears he left th1s pos1t1on to accept the pr1nc1palsh1p of Spr1ngdale School In 1952 Mr Hammond earned h1s Master of Educauon degree before return1ng to Colera1n as H1gh School Pr1nc1pal 8 Pr1nc1pal EDMOND HAMMOND I Y s ,S . . v y . s - I , 1 - - . . .
