STUDENT COUNCIL Left to right -- P. Pelkey, S. Pelkey, S. Lesperance, P. Melcher, Wenzlatf, D. Kramer, P. Evan, V. Kienitz. Salcsky, L. Teresinski, Mr. Maloney, T. Jackson, A. This year is the seventh in which a Student Council has been active in Cole- man High School affairs. Regular meetings of the Council were held each Wed- nesday during alternate periods. At the meetings school problems were discussed and class and social activities were arranged. The activities of the Student Council began with the installation of officers soon after their election. Another new activity this year has been the Student Break period between the first and second periods in the morning. The purpose of the break is to provide an opportunity for students to get together socially and to get some refreshment during the morning session. Other activities con- tinued this year were the Homecoming Parade and Dance, the Red Cross drive, the Save the Children clothing drive, the Christmas Party which included the collecting and distribution of canned goods for the needy families in the area, and the March of Dimes auction and house-to-house canvas. The officers attended the State Conference of Student Councils which was held in Green Bay this year. v .wary - wif i'v 'l I it A Q21 , Page lliirty-tliruu
