Aw .044 . Once again as school begins and the class schedules are organized, students assemble in the rec hall -- a familiar scene around C.H.S. Religious activities play an important role in the lives of the students. The Student Council and Christian Coimcil are responsible for these activities. The cheerleaders and student body help create enthusiasm and fill the boys with confidence before the big rival game with Ballinger. The speech class arouse the true spirit of Christmas by presenting an effective program to the students. SNOW! -- The first snow in years brought its pleasures and discomforts. A change in the weather seemed to February brought the election of the Student Council officers with the pres- entation of many cute stunts. Public Education Week was observed by various activities. Open House was held in the schools, and special pro- grams were presented to civic groups. One of the most enjoyable events was a band program presented by Mr. Raymond Rike and the C.H.S. band. Among other festivities such as Career Day and Interscholastic League, one of the highlights of the year is the pres- entation of the senior play. As the end of another school year ap- proaches, the seniors soon find them- selves robed in their caps and gowns and re ceiving their diplomas much sooner than expected. put new life in the students -- exam- ple shown! .
