Rafael Urdaneta, that man about town Casanova John Phelan Esq., Dave Rogers fnow chairman of the Leggy Spaghetti Companywj, and those foxey twins, harroom queens in Tulusa, Vicky and Clara all chanting G'We're trying to get higher and highern. And last but not least, those criminal master minds Squirrel, Linda Norman and Alberto Sarmiento. Rumor says they are thinking of hitting Carol Vaughnls uoriginalw freak boutique and making off with 200 bucks in glass eyes and glass belly buttons. Barbed wire gates are being erected to keep Squirrel and his gang out. Or is it to keep Carol in? One can't be sure because the fence is not pointing in or out but straight up. Back on stage, the crowd's getting excited in anticipation of the super group. Three handsome young men edge their Way from behind the par- tition of the stage. Out they troop: Mauricio Bermudez, Luis Serna, and Luis Herrera. Their act is really dynamite, they all strap TNT to their legs and blow up. Trouble is., they can only do this once. A truly mind- blowing experience wouldn't you say??? As the day draws to an end and the moon rises to take its destined place in the heavens, a misty hue blankets the festival site. All over people are happy, making friends, and sharing. When you stop to listen you can hear many many voices singing. Just two pages On the face of it the story in the Andumb looked dynamite. 6'The Ari- zona 200l Freak for All read the headline, to be held in August on Indian lands in Arizona. The week-long festival, boasting the top music acts in the business, was for the sake of worldly peace and love, and would be free. The way the Andumb fthe widely respected creation of Liz Stonaker, Judy Sitton, and Camachoj reported it, this rock'n'roll festival was going to be done right. Two aides to President DiCapua, now in full festive re- galia, Rick f You handsome devil youwj Setser and Sally Wow Wow Ji- menez were in on it. The directors of this enterprise would include the boisterous team of Myrtha Allen and Karen Brubaker, Ellen ring my chimes Bell, and Brother Earl now wearing, incidentally, size 22 shoes. The money would be fronted by such companies as Lindsay's and Teter's Tankup Tonics, now a big corporation with a lot of hangover, and Rankin's Publishing Companies turning out such fine high school novels as How to Study and Be Sexy at the Same Time , subtitled Hey, To- nie . Naturally being such a rare event, the major motion picture companies all wanted the rights to film it, but permission was given only to the Joaquin Zagarra Company. Joaquin, now trying to develop film under bright lights, as we hear it, has failed every time and his lifelong buddy and companion, Javier, suggests he stick to 'Udes on Intimations of lm- mortality . Tom Myers, in charge of audio and visuals, acknowledged that it would be a problem for 3 million people to see and hear, but not to worry because he's through with his new, highly, technicalized computer that he simply calls his subliminal trobriand thematic Sourat Machine fSure Tom, whatever you sayj. Every detail was carefully planned for. Security would consist of 50,000 delectable fhighly pleasing evenj girls that would kindly ask for order or use more persuasive methods to tame the crowds. As in other festivals of lesser magnitude, naturally, Hastle Pig Farm would be on hand to take care of and help those kids who had bum trips or whatever else. And now, four months later, everything is happening the way the Andumb reported it would. This was a spectacle to behold. Gregory Gregory's Godly Group fyou remember, Greg popularized the song: 'alt Hurts to Sing-But it Hurts More to Listennj has just finished its powerhouse set. Walking to the center of the stage, well groomed and well dressed as always, is the M. C., that Candyman himself. HHope you're having a 'balll , he shouts as he brings on those world renowned mu- sicians, Street Cat Ferguson falias Black Manj, Hugo Jones and Twinkle Toes Williams. They have high hopes today of reaching the zenith of their careers: destroy their eardrums by sitting inside their amps and waiting for the feedback to do its thing. Wandering around the cluttered but still spacious festival grounds are many famous people, all digging the vibes and grooving with each other. Most notably: Racing Champ Carlos Ospina, the recently awarded grou- pies of the century Claudia Holguin, Cecilia Del Campo, Maria Clara Sa- lazar and Susan Applegate, and not walking, but perched in the limb of a tree just 200 yards from the stage are Steve 'LCurliCue,' Johnson, Dapper
