In the first place. it should make you happier. and it should enable you to make others happier. Unless it has better equipped you to emnloy your talents and your time unless it has given you a firmer foundation on which to build for your eternal reward,1t has failed in its primary objective. It should have stimulated you to the possession of marks or the educated person sympathy and understandingg and. conversely. turned you against the marks of the ignorant bigotry and intolerance Don't forget your prayers and don't forget in those prayers to be thankful for many past benefits and blessings. also asking Divine Wisdom and Guidance in the recognition and practice of The True, The Beautiful. and The Good. Concluding the interm ssion, I investigated wh people were crowding around Harold Brockman and I learned he had picked the lucky horse that had won the last Kentucky Derby 'I was never so happy as the time I saw 'Beetlebomb' coming into the home stretch, ridden by the famous Jockey, Jim Bscks,u stated Harold After the tasty lunch, a short comedy skit was given by the three stooges, Mary 0 Klosterman, Marilyn Hoyng, and Eileen Wynk, which was taken from their latest movie. ot on the program was a lecture given by Cletus Poll, a professor of math at Miami University The concluding number on the program was a tap 48300 8i'9n by Irma K10Bt0fm8D and Lilly Steinke under the direction of their agent, Charles Hartings. t th I talked to Chuck Runkel who is a mechanic now working on 3 Jet' propeIIedrautgmgbIIia?or the hot rod dr1ver, Larry Stukenborg. Donald Muhlenkamp, the multi- millionaire, was discussing the blueprints of his new, modern dreamhouse, with the contractors Ted June and Kenny Walkup. Rose Ann Vaeedes, although haPPi1Y married' is in Charge of the interior decorating. V ' Y ' ' . s Court. Their private secretaries are Jeannette Boeckman and Betty Tebbe. Dan Briner and D e D , O I N s we were also proud that Charlie Hehr, the world's middleweight champion in wrestling, and Gladys Muhlenkamp, a woman wrestler, were graduates of our class. Speaking of honors, this brings to my mind the time Ed Fox won the Pulitzer Prize for his famous novel. Also included in the list of champions was Butch Wuebker, who swam the English Channel. La Vern Kunk, president of the local bank, was discussing financial difficulties with Elmer Wellman, owner of the I. G. A, chain stores. Also taking part in this conversation was Rosemary Fella, a teller in the bank. The door prize for having the largest family was won by Alice Fiely. As the day ended, I saw Alice Vappelhorst, an airline stewardess, leaving to catch a flight to South America. In a minute she returned asking for help to fix a flat tire. Junior Shinn, proprietor of a fillingstation, came to her rescue. There is nothing more I would rather do than relive those wonderful memories as they were that day.
