t Work . . . Add Inlprovements The Coldwater Board of Education, consist- ing of Dr. Harold Weidner, president, Dr. Albert Long, vice-president, Edward Holtz, secretary, James Snyder, treasurer, and the trustees, Marriette Mooi, Dr. James Nash and Charles Kingsley, has added several improve- ments to the school system of the city during i957-58. Their main problem has been getting enough money to cover school expenses. After shifting their budget around several times, the board managed to get enough money to build two new elementary schools to take the place of Longfellow, which has not been used for several years, and Franklin, which was closed this fall. They also paved the circle drive in front of the new high school, bought a new seventy- two passenger bus and have started develop- ing the southwest corner of the lot next to the Cardinal 'Football field into a baseball dia- mond with a grass infield. Also, o committee was chosen to investi- gate the possibilities of a iunior college in Coldwater, and a decision is still endin .
