WORDS TO Tl-IE WISE . ? For weeks I racked my brain trying to think of some deiinite feature to apply to the faculty - to no avail! Finally, I got together a conglomeration of corny ideas and started to write. So if you find these pages kind of njumbled and jivey , you'll know the reason why? From a very reliable source ta la grapevinel, I have learned that several members of the faculty have great literary talent, and during the past year have written some interesting HJ works. O MR. POULOS has turned capitalistic on us and has burst forth with his latest volume HOW TO GET RICH QUICK! MR. OLSEN not long ago published his Csighj autobiography FOR WHOM THE 'BELLES' TOIL thow truelj. Swede likes to read it! O MR. GREEN has turned romanticist on us and has written a stirring story THE LOVE TRIANGLE . Mr. Green does admit, however, that he has lifted out several ANGLES which should have been woven into the plot. The moral of the story is A good line is the shortest distance between two dates . I From the English department in Junior High I received the following anecdote: 'TO BE OR NOT TO BE' is the most recent article by MRS. HUDSON. It deals with the correct grammatical construction of infmitives - a truly stirring piece of work! a MR. SIBLEY'S best seller of the year was a na- ture story, THE HUNT . This book treats of his own experiences throughout the years, and his es- capes from chemistry HOUNDS . A pretty FOXY bit of work! I MRS. FRIZZO'S literary accomplishment was along the same line as Mr. Sibley's. Her's was an autobiog- raphy, titled THE LION TAMER ! I have stated above that this column will be found in a turmoil to the end. That which follows is some miscellaneous information I have gathered about the teachers! 12 MR. RENSHAW has been making some very inten- sive research on the subject of narcotics and other sleep-producing drugs. He says he doesn't mind his students sleeping, but snoring is just a trifle more than he can take! MRS. MacFARLANE is really a slick chick , hep to the jive , et all She's been COOKING on the fron burner all year! MR. VVEEKS not long ago took a special corre- spondence course from Warden Duffy of San Quentin to become better acquainted in' the correct procedure of handling the inmates of his institution! MISS EVELYN MOORE may think that her pupils try to bluff a lot. But honest, both seniors and sopho- mores say that they've been trying to get MOORE from Government and World Problems all year! CHS has been terrorized all year by the subversive activities of the Gestopo fof the subversive activities of the students!J better known as MR. DENNIS. That's O.K. Mr. Dennis. We know it's your bounden duty - we keep telling ourselves! O Having exhausted my supply of prose, 1 find it necessary to turn to poetry in one form or another tmostly no formlj The boys in the back row of MRS. NELSON'S World Lit. class have cut up a lot this year. Being iepentent though, they have expressed their apologies through the following poem. - Dear, dear Lola Sometimes Lit. is so droll-a 'I'hat's why we in the back row-la Just have to let go-la! We have a new teacher in school She makes all the young fellas drool She's pretty and thing full of pep to the brim Her name is MISS RICH Her admirer is JIM!
