We elected our Veteran, Joe L . Waters, President, Ronald Friend, Vice-President and Wilma Chamberlain H Ng Secretary. Our class colors are those of the rainbow, our flower, the rose, and our motto, Now We're Launched, Where Shall We Anchor. Q W One of the most important events of the year Cnext to graduationj L L was our Senior Day, November ll.. We were invited to Northeastern H Q A 8: M College, Miami, Oklahoma. When the great day arrived we dis- X, ki covered that no one had discussed the occasion with the weather man 5 for rain was falling in sheets with no indication of stopping. We H L Seniors have the reputation never to be outdone Cespeciallyi by the XI w weather, so after a conference with Mr. Hagan, we boarded a bus and L were on our way. H X We enjoyed the tour through the Goodrich Rubber Plant, even E Kennard in spite of not being allowed to use his camera. H The complimentary tickets to the Coleman Theater were appreciated. E L The Magician's show was certainly enjoyed by all. Max Shelley k E' plans to study to be a magician, at least until he learns how to get a A S beautiful girl from a doll house. XI W The student mixer was nice even if the floor was a bit crowded for I p dancin . P 3 W Everyone had a nice time and behaved themselves, even Peggy and ' M Nylene tried to behave for once. Mrs. Porter and Mr. Wilson resembled L drowned rats part of the day for the rain continued but they endured it my X until early the next morning when we arrived home tired and sleepy. XI it E ,nj Early in October seven Senior Girls were most unhappy because of 'QI X not being allowed to go to a soft-ball game at Oaks. One could hear L W griping from girls who had never griped before. XI x g We chose Mildred Saunders for Annual Queen. The Juniors gave us E IQ some competition and we were very nervous as the contest closed. How Xl. happy we were to hear Mr. Hagan announce over the Public Address System L fLg that the Seniors had won! We are proud of Queen Mildred and feel that X1 our hard work was worth while. XI E ' We have been headaches to the teachers Csometimesj but we have L XI! had a happy year and want to thank everyone who has helped to make XI it that way. kr F T H W1 al J fsfyafff ff ,-J .1 ,sf , JE 3, .wo YE ' fy 'Vu-Z5 ,V wa gifs f,:'.Q. .Ihat a sweet grln Hurry. you'll miss the bus 11- f -ia ...M Q .Q ,I K 'f ' gif 23 .e G f W. .4 f ' ze 'ff .
