l Coast Guard In the year 19415 we entered the armed forces as 41 weak but colorful Coast Guardsmen. 'It was not long before the Navy had christenedsus into our quarters for the next four years and it was not long before we had become accustomed to our new experience. 'H' Coach Cooper was our constant guide and able leader throughout the yeart Our 'other officers were: Pat King ----- -President Don Woods ---- Vice President Edwin Smith---SecPGUGPy ' ,On entering the course for the second year we found we had lost two members and were now only thirty- nine. The first instructions we were given this year were to welcome the Freshman Army with an initiation, ' We had many successful parties this year, one of which was an all-school party, sponsored by our- selves. ' J Mr. Cooper deserves the credit for most of our success in these great expansions. ' Our Officers this year were! Dewey Hall--e-President Bob Biswelle--Vice President Jim Hodges---Secretary 1 Army ' , At the beginning of our 1942-45 school year, fifty-five khaki clad Army men were seen marching into the camp of studies. The first few days they p were given-some training, but after a few weeks of K. P. duty they were well equipped for combat service. Their iniation was a laughable subject when they dressed in their G. I. uniforms. Such a clashing of l the greens! ' For the first year the Army picked these Officers! Bebe Ann Zimmerman---President Jack Dorethy---Vice President Shirley Ludlum ---- Secretary Richard Harding---Treasurer Mr. Bunt is our Commanding officer and has proved to be a great help in our first year at camp.
