® py es 0 ge cad Mr. Harold Currier DEDICATION _ September, 1947 Colby opened its doors to a young instructor from Sunapee, New Hampshire — Mr. Harold F. Currier, Master of Science in biology. Little time passed before Mr. Currier became known to all, not only as an excellent biology instructor, but also as a man of many diversified activities. He showed great interest in New London, its people and its history — he even re- vealed his secret of how to grow bigger and better cab- bages! In dramatics Mr. Currier soon became a star in many town and Rouge Pot plays. Above all, Mr. Currier expressed deep interest and enthusiasm in Colby — its program, its students, its student government, and its honor system. As a member of the Academic Committee, he has as- sisted us during registration. As adviser to Student Govern- ment, and as adviser to our class for these past two years, Mr. Currier has been understanding and helpful to each and every one of us. Because of his thoughtfulness, sincerity, strong desire to help others, and complete naturalness, Mr. Currier is someone we will not forget. The Class of 1952 takes great pleasure in dedicating this year’s ‘““Colbyan” to Mr. Harold F. Currier. Mr. Currier and Family President H. Leslie Sawyer FACULTY and STAFF Throughout our days at Colby, there has been a hand guiding our actions and helping us wi th our problems, showing us how to grow and shar- ing our fun. Dr. Sawyer has been a friend to all of us, giv- ing of himself to make our hearts loyal to the spirit of Colby and all it stands for. He has been a model of judgment and fair play. Because of his understanding and friendship, we leave the place that has been our home for the past two or three years with a lingering backward glance and with appreciation and love for the man who has done so much for us. Dr. and Mrs. H. Leslie Sawyer One of the most difficult things to do when we leave Colby is to say good-by to the faculty and staff. We are sincerely grateful to them for all that they have done to make our years here happy, profitable, and memorable. Mrs. Charlotte D.
