Then the snow fell, coating the bare branches of the trees, and winter was upon us. The halls of CCHS were filled with a holiday air as the Kayettes deco- rated the Christmas tree in the hall, and sang carols in the halls at noon. After Christmas there was a sudden flurry of intensive studying as students prepared for semester exams, followed by a sigh of relief when they were over. The Pep Club girls yelled themselves hoarse at Basket- ball games and wrestling matches. Spon- sored by the Student Council, mixers were held after each home game and wrestling match. The Sno-Ball added a touch of glamour to the winter season as the FFA and FHA decorated on an Iceland theme. The months had flown and suddenly it was spring, the grass and leaves turned green again. Even as they began to get drowsy and wish for summer and vacation, every spare moment was spent by music students practicing for the district and state music festivals. Another sport was under way as the trackmen competed in NWKL events. The junior class presented the seniors with a unforgettable prom, a night to remember, while the seniors began to realize that their days in CCHS were nearing the end as they practiced, with mixed emotions, for their graduation. There are iust a few of the activities that went on in CCHS during the year ln all four seasons, of course, the main reason for school is still work and study which help round out the picture of a year in CCHS. A lot can happen in a year---a lot to remember. The Class of 1959 presents to you this book of memories.
