Cross-Country Cross Country is continuing to grow at Colborne. With a fall and spring schedule of over ten meets throughout the county we find ourselves travel- ing a great deal. Although winning is a satisfying reward, the chance of meeting and talking to new people and keeping our bodies in good physical condition is hopefully of greater importance. Colborne runners will finish off their running year by hosting their second annual cross country meet. Not only did we learn much from our research but Mrs. Boshart demonstrated with Dee Dee ways of grooming dogs for shows and how to care for pet dogs cor- rectly. Our finished projects presented an attractive display and we felt proud of our work when the Strathroy Jaycees rewarded each of us with a certificate for our contributions to Education Week. I remember when Dawn Longfield was pretending to be a teacher but broke Mr. Duncan ' s chair. I remember when Bob Ledingham greased his hair back and put Mr. Duncan ' s glasses on just for a picture. I remember when the class was watching a film on archaeologists and Wayne Emmons fell asleep in his desk. I remember when a couple of students went to clean the fish tank but lost the snail somewhere between the room and the drain. I remember when we went to Ste. Marie and the Martyr ' s Shrine.
