SENIOR CLASS PROPHEC Y One lovely afternoon in May, 1965, we decided to check up on the Colbert High School graduates of l955, So off we go on this wild trip around the world, The first stop is New York where we stop at Madison Square Garden to see the famous Arlen Clark play for the Milwaukee Hawks with his team mate Gilbert CBO Boi Brown. Next is Harvard University where Professor Robert Taylor is teaching a history class. While we are visiting with Professor TaylO1' we hear a blood curdling laugh. As we venture into the hall we spot the cause of that laugh. Dan Graves is having an eraser fight with some unknown character. Now the character peeps over the edge of a desk. We see now that it is Jimmy Bush. In spite of this childishness, Dan is a prominent Math teacher and Jimmy is a prosperous rancher, Speaking of ranches, Henry Scott has one of the biggest cattle ranches in the U,S, , but he isn't getting rich because he spends all his money buying tires that his Cadillac wears out digging out and flying around corners on two wheels, Now we see Oraline Gower and her ten kids picking cotton on their plantation. We now leave the U,S. and head North for Canada. Here we see big, strong, brave Sgt. James Whitt of the Northwest Mounted Police on a manhunt with all of his hounds, He always gets his man, and woman too as far as a certain Freshman girl is concerned, 'We go on Northward to Alaska where we see what we think is a polar bear, Sure enough it is Wayne Bacon digging for gold, From Alaska we move on to Russia. After a hard struggle to get over the Iron Curtain we wander around and find Lee Stone the agriculture expert telling the peasants their quota for the year. While we are in Russia we see Norita Stephens dragging Main Street of Moscow. After a honk and a wave we move on toward Japan where Juanita Thornton and her twelve kids are making the best of Air Force Life, From here we go to Australia where we see Mary Lou Hartline teaching a kangaroo to box. ln India we see Don Lineberry charming snakes while Kathrine is busy down at the river washing diapers. Now we go to Africa where the great opera star Eleanor McCarley is teaching the natives to sing and bop to Work with Me Annie , From here we go to Germany where Riuby Ramey is helping her old man, Gene Holder, by peddling 7 UP's, Then to France where Joyce Ramey is pulling what hair she has left trying to figure out if she likes a blond headed boy better than a black headed boy, Now to Yale where Mary Lou Owens is attending college and is still skipping classes there three days a week 3.5 She did when she was in high school. Now back to Denison where Wynell Gentry, still unmarried, is still dragging Main in her brand new Model A. 14
