Treasurer This year there was founded in Cohoes High School a new organization, known as the Photography Club. Although this organization has been in existence only a short time, it is already making considerable progress under the able supervision of Mr. William Shahen, a member of the faculty. Photography has become a very popular hobby among people of all ages in the past few years. It is a hobby that can bc instructive and profitable, as well as enjoy- able. Consequently, we are fortunate in having the opportunity to learn something of this art while we are in school. It is the hope of the senior class that this club will remain a permanent organization in Cohoes High School and that it will con- tinue to attract new and enthusiastic members. iLiiT ' i Y 7-nzne

Treasurer Dionysus, the God of the Drama, has smiled benignly these past few years upon the efforts of the Thimble Theatre. Upon such efforts as '6Three Cornered Moon, Adam and Eva, 6'Spring Dance, Grandma Pulls the Strings and Just Women, he conferred the honor of his approval by blessing each with great success. Who, among us, will ever forget Alberta MacArthur's portrayal of the cattiest woman of them all in Just Womenf, Jack Taylor's superb performance in a very dillicult role in Three Cornered Moon,', Marjorie Dzamba as the sweet little wife of one of the most patrician of our patricians, Paul Barselou, in an assembly play, or Grace McGlynn as the naive girl in Spring Dance ? Paul Barselou, by the way, also wrote a dramatic epic entitled, What A Nightlv He and another devotee of Dionysus, Mary Foley, directed and played in this production. Forty-eight 1940 ---A 'Li LD Q

RETAIL SELLING CLASS A retail selling class was added to the curriculum in September, 1935, with Mrs. Robert Ryan as instructor. Only seniors in the general business course are eligible for membership. The object of this course is to acquaint students with the funda- mentals of salesmanship. Last year and this year, demonstrations were given in class, illustrating the practical application of various principles of retail selling. The value of this course has been proved by the success which the members of the class have had in soliciting the advertisements for this year book.
