Student Counoil Representative The Home Economies Club of the Cohoes High School had its beginning in the month of September, 1936. The girls taking courses in home economies and homemaking comprise this club. The Object of this organization is to discover and discuss ways of spending leisure time and to develop personality as well as initiative in the members. The advisers for this group are Miss Mary L. C lFUlRlUM as Q ff BOOK CLUB This year finds the Book Club in its second successful year under the supervision of Miss Holleran. There are twenty-four members in this group. Each member purchases one of the most popular of the books recently published. These books are circulated among the members of the club throughout the year and thus each boy and girl is able to read a large number of worthwhile books. Student Council Representative PAUL CASTRACANI-3 . . . . Sergeant-at-Arms The Cohoes Hi-Y is a member of the national and state organizations. Its slogan is: Clean scholarship, clean living, clean sports, clean speech, and a clean mind. The club was very fortunate this year in having Mr. Gerald Amyot as an adviser. So far, a few meetings at the Troy Y have been attended by some of the members of the club. The boys have planned an interesting program for the rest of the year. One event will be the annual St. Patrick's Day dance. - The Hi-Y intends to close its season with a trip to New York some week-end. The money raised from the dues will be used to pay the expenses of the trip. Forty-six D- A 19404 ct Q
