C lFUlRlUM as Q ff BOOK CLUB This year finds the Book Club in its second successful year under the supervision of Miss Holleran. There are twenty-four members in this group. Each member purchases one of the most popular of the books recently published. These books are circulated among the members of the club throughout the year and thus each boy and girl is able to read a large number of worthwhile books. Among some of the interesting books being read are 'ilnside Europef' 'gEscape, g'Rebeeca,', The Tree of Liberty, 'gThe Hudson, and Dead Nedf, Forty-four Ci D 11940 B- - -Q45

l THE GLEE CLUB The Glee Club, during 1939 and 1940, had one of its most successful seasons. Members of the Glee Club broadcasted over one of our local stations several times and won very favorable comment from the listening audience. Many members of the senior class have been faithful members of the Glee Club for four years. Seniors who have given extraordinary performances in the concerts presented by this club are Elvira DiSisto, Paul Barselou and Dora Derocher. This year the Glee Club will give its annual spring concert sometime in May. In addition the Glee Club will be heard in a concert at the Institute of History and Art in Albany. Student Counoil Representative The Home Economies Club of the Cohoes High School had its beginning in the month of September, 1936. The girls taking courses in home economies and homemaking comprise this club. The Object of this organization is to discover and discuss ways of spending leisure time and to develop personality as well as initiative in the members. The advisers for this group are Miss Mary L.
