APPRECIATION MRS. LILLIAN WELLS We, the Class of 1965, express our grateful appreciation to Mrs. Lillian Wells for her many years of service to our school. She has shown deep interest in students, both personally and as classes, and she has al- ways been willing to help us in our problems. Her cheerfulness has made many a school day lighter for both teachers and students.

DEDICATION MISS ZITELLA WOOD Often we, as seniors, think only about high school experiences, and neglect to recall memories of our grade school education. Yet this period of life, more than any other, sees the shaping of our character and the formula- tion of our life’s destiny. In these vital years grade teachers exert a tremendous influence on children. We have on our faculty a person who has taught in Cohocton longer than any other teacher in history. She has seen multitudes of classes pass through her room, and has shown selfless dedication to teaching and patient understanding of her pupils throughout the years. She is a shining example of the kind of teacher all students should have. We, therefore, the Class of 1965, dedicate this “Chieftain” to our fourth grade teacher. Miss Zitella Wood.

W I-------1 Z I is this book? ▼ ▼ A A J. A. A It is the rec- ord of our school for a year, a portray- al of the people and events that made Cohocton Central uniquely what it was in the year 1964-1965. This Chief- tain is the result of many hours of la- bor, and into it we have put something of our own beliefs and attitudes, as well as rows of photographs.
