MEMORIAM ROGER WILLIAMS 1945-1960 We shall always re- member him as a class- mate and friend. CLASS HISTORY In September of 1961 we entered our Freshman year, ready to commence high school studies and fund-raising activities. Our first dance, '’65 Goes Hawaiian,” in March, 1962, was complete with leis and palm trees, giving C.C.S. the atmosphere of a South Sea Isle. The class sold brownies at soccer games and candy at basketball games the fall and winter of our Sophomore season. The Country Ramblers furnished music for a “backwoods hoedown” in November, “Hillbilly Holiday.” “Spring Fever” hit the school in March with our second dance, a record hop. No Boys Allowed” was the title of our hit Junior play, on October 4, 1963, in which a bunch of boys crashed a female slumber party. In November the hens were out to catch them- selves roosters for the “Sadie Hawkins” Dance. The Class of 65 checked coats for the Dairymen's Dinner in January. On May 8, 1964, we danced to the Serenaders of Honeoye at our Junior Prom, “Moonlight and Roses.” In July and August of 1964 the class sold advertising space in the “Chieftain” totaling $1308. A busy senior year was opened with an “Oldies but Goodies” record hop in September. Next came the annual magazine drive, which netted a total of $1833, and a candy drive at Thanksgiving which brought in $725. All these activities were interspersed by difficult but exciting work on the yearbook, which was packed off to the publishers in March and received two months later. The culminating events of our school lives occurred in May and June, 1965. On May 20-24 we took our fabulous Senior trip to New York City and the World’s Fair, and on June 25 w,e reached the summit of graduation.
