Lawrence J. Dunn, Principal; W. Merle Wheaton, Vice-Principal. PRINCIPALS PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE: WHO IS EDUCATED? According tothe dictionary, education is the act of imparting or acquiring knowledge through systematic instruction and train- ing. In our world today, we must be able to implement this with something more. We must deal honorably and reasonably with others, regardless of their status in society. Further, whatever the cir- cumstance, be it fortune or mis- fortune, we must bear the burden of life and not be spoiled by suc- cess or discouraged by failure. Socrates said: “Those who have a character which is in ac- cord, not with one of these things, but with all of them, are educated; possessed of all the virtues.” LAWRENCE J. DUNN BOARD OF EDUCATION 10 STANDING: Edwin Saxton, Norbert Kramer. SEATED: Myron Crouch, Dr. Gerald Hoover, Victor Sick, Mrs. Alice Rector.
