PROPHECY Time: June 1969. Place: Training Post. Characters: Retired Veterans of C. C. S. Author: Our General, Mrs. Fisher. On the 19th of June, 1969, I again had the pleasure of meeting my former recruits of '59 at the training post at C. C. S. for our tenth reunion. They were all present and I found many changes had been made. Jim Burke is now playing with the Yankees and is married to that Tripnock girl. They flew in from New York for the reunion. Jim Fairbrother has decided that the best job for him would be to get away from this confusing world. He is now a pilot with the rocket division of the Air Force. Eugene Fleishman just won the Nobel Award for inventions. He invented a bicycle that won’t tip over. Parents all over the world are congratulating him on his discovery. I always knew he would be a great scientist. Charlene Harmon who has graduated from college, is now teaching Physical Education at the old training post. Her students have finally made her realize what she used to look like when she was chewing gum! Jim Hendley is now the proud owner of Robinson’s and he finally got a car all of his own! He had a pretty girl with him and they looked very happy. K. Ann Meek has now set up her beauty shop in Cohocton along with her hus- band’s funeral home. I hear they are doing quite well together! Gail Mills, who is married to the wealthy owner of Widmer’s Wine Cellars, tells me they are expecting twins! They seem so happy. Linda Spas who is also teaching at C. C. S., is starting out tonight after the reunion for Africa. She says that maybe she will find her “one and only” over there. Jim Thorp was also at the reunion and I was so excited over his news. He is running for the Presidency and I’m sure he’ll get it. He always was such a good student. Dorothy Williams is now a model on “Queen For A Day”. I hear she has been going out with a celebrity. She says there will be wedding bells soon!
