Class History In 1945 we started school with 25 boys and 13 girls who included: James Adams, Donald Beechner, Neil Conrad, Darwin Cooley, Robert Cosgriff, Thomas Fox, John Hendley, Reuben Kanaval, James Hendley, Thedore Melenbacher, Robert Mclnnis, Kent Ochs, Gordon Sick, Daniel Sirois, Wendel Moik, Robert Lrefrey, Richard Turner, Richard Veeder, Donald Zeh, George Kelly, Thomas Enser, Keith Crane, John George, Allyn Fairman, Darrell Willett, Pauline Avery, Anna Centr, Jeanne Cragg, Ardrea Cyr, Joyce Fleishman, Lucille Hammond, Dorothy Mehlenbacher, Carolyn Mills, Marva Putnam, Ann Schiavi, Jean Zeh, Mary Zurlick, and Doris Sick. We reached our freshman year with fourteen of our original gang and several new additions. Dot Mehlenbacher was chosen president. Joyce Fleishman, was given control of the • purse strings.” Kent Ochs was given the task of recording the minutes. We chose Miss Gorman as our class advisor. After lying dormant for a year, weenteredour Sophomore year. With our eyes on the future, we put Dot Mehlenbacher in as President again. Carolyn Mills was elected secretary and Dick Veeder gained control of the money. We chose Mr. Spas as class advisor. We greatly increased our depleted treasury by selling candy at basketball games and backing a “Soph Hop” with the Twilight Rangers. With the success of our Sophomore year behind us, we entered our Junior year full of con- fidence. Jerry Towner was put in chargeof the gang, while Dot Mehlenbacher was elected secretary and Dick Veeder got his fingers in the money bag again. Our Junior play “Once Upon a Midnight” was a success both financially and dramatically. We further increased our treasury by checking coats at the dairymen’s dinner and the potato convention. Our last project of the year was the Junior Prom with Ray Hedges. Our theme was “Moonglow. Pat Burke was chosen queen; Sarah Burke and Jean Zeh backed her up as her attendants. We started our Senior year “with a band” by breaking all formerly held records on the magazine drive. Our next project was the all-important year book. We are looking forward to the Senior play and graduation. Our last project shall be our Senior trip. For our last year we have chosen Jean Wager as president; Jean Cragg as Secretary; and Dick Veeder as treasurer. Valedictorian; Joyce Fleishman, 92.71 Salutatoriam Richard Veeder, 91.63
