Leading the corps was new head coach, Phil Pisano, who instill- ed a more upbeat attitude in the team. The new emotion carried the Skippers over traditional rivals Hull and Duxbury. Instrumental to the unit ' s success were seniors Danny Curran, jackie Cooper, Troy Chatter- ton, Tom Durkin, Steve Reed, and Brian Durkin. BOYS SOCCER (TK COACH: John Anderson CAPTAINS: Michael Desantis, David MacDonald The soccer cruised to an outstan- ding season this year. Led by All League seniors David MacDonald, Mason Sandell, and Mike DeSantis, the Skippers flogged their first two adversaries in the state tournament, and then lost to a tough Medfield opponent. Also adding fine perfor- mances were seniors Gary Parziale, Peter Cotter, J. P. Diedrich, Greg Igo, and Eric Karcher. c c CROSS COUNTRY (0-10) COACH: Paul Narkiewicz CAPTAIN: John Rattenbury The Cross Country team ran to a somewhat depressing season this year. Although their record did not show it, fine efforts were shown by seniors David Young, Jim Reilly, and Steve Fries. Look for a strong team in the future because of a plethora of underclassmen talent. GIRLS SOCCER (13-5-2) COACH: Kennan Starzell APTAINS: Amy Duncombe, Joanie Chisolm, Sarah Seavey Consisting of fifteen seniors the girls soccer team completed their best season ever since its beginning six year ago. The skillful playing of these girls advanced them to the quarter finals of the state tourna- ment. The admired girls srccer team had the most representatives on the South Shore League All-Star team. Even though the team is losing fif- teen girls to graduation there is no need to worry because the younger girls are improving very quickly. They ended thei league season with an undefeated record.
