Senior Class Officers PRESIDENT VICE-PRESIDENT STEVEN D ' ONOFRIO MARYJO MAHONEY

At a table of jocks, table tennis champs Vita Rotchford and Hiromi Yoshioka talked basketball with 76 ' ers center, Tom Ryan. Patriots linebacker David Lahive and Oakland Raiders QB Kevin Dooley discussed strategies. Joe Becker turned down the role of the Hulk to particpate in the Olympics where he w on the decathlon (no he doesn ' eat Wheaties!) Bruins ' star defenseman Dom Campadelli was raving with his right wing Sean Curran. Baseball great Andy Songer was telling Scott Featherston about the world renowned tag team wrestlers — the Moonshine Brothers: Torin Sweeney, Gordon Ricketts, Bob Donahue, and J. T. Price. It seems they mutilated the Southern Comforters: Paul Sullivan, Drew Dougherty, John Burke and Bill O ' Connell — who were so bruised that they couldn ' t make the trip. Kristin Harris was seen doing skating moves on the tables while Patriots cheerleader Laurie Sandbloom watched. The cocktail party ended with two dynamic speeches by Harvard Professor Chris McNabb, and civil rights leader Paul Buckley aided by his personal secretary Jan Lewis. Later everyone moved to the bar for more drinks, where bartender Mike Ellis was mixing some potent concoc- tions. Easily recognizable were Rob Whelan, Don MacKinnon, Andy Pottenger and Jim Benbow. Of course M. J. Mahoney, Karen Murphy, Kate Cowan and . Sally Cook weren ' t far behind. Most people were content with getting comfortably numb, but then there are those who have to get shattered. Bob Tis, Mr. Mariner himself, was dancing on the tables dressed only in yesterday ' s front page, while Chris Kar- cher imitated Tarzan by swinging from the lights. Amy Murphy got a little tipsy and mistook a broom for her horse. She was last seen galloping around the ship yelling like a rhine stone cowboy . . . Ya Hoo! After all hangovers were gone, Patty Walsh was basking in the sun in her blue string bikini as Mahmoud Tehra- nian tried to pick her up. He was shot down. He tried again on Patty Johnson but she just giggled and kicked him in the shins. He was badly injured so ship ' s doctor Christine Barrett put him in traction in the ship ' s hospital. Later on that evening, Jack McNeill and Laura Hines pulled a practical joke, claiming the ship had hit the break water and was sinking. No one believed them except for Liz Russell, Steve Buckley, Leslie Cahill, Gail Lucas, Cheryl Adams and Stephanie McAdams, who immediately took to sea in the lifeboats. They were still afloat the next day, so Rob Harrington had to call his entire rescue crew of Beth Salvador, Missy Barcomb and Gwen Smith to save them. For that day ' s entertainment Vogue models Anne Bear, Brenda Whitlow, Bridget Farren, and Dianne Gunville modeled the latest styles created by Tia Esposito and Kim Chatterton. Then Liz Cronklin modeled the latest in riding apparel, while Amy Whittet passed out catalogues on the latest clothing from sunny California. Some members in our class have beome quite famous. Jamie Replogle invented America ' s first cowboy boots designed for long distance running. Karen Froio is captain of America ' s first National Powderpuff Football Team. Tina Birmann is advertising Jamie ' s long distance running boots, since she is now a world class sprinter. Linda Sheppard is secretary to the president. Kerry Crehan still twirls her hair, except that she had now made a career out of it. She does all the permanents at Kenneth ' s Salon in New York. I was disapointed to hear that some of our classmates were unable to come to our reunion. Holly Grant decided to stay in Uruguay, and Diarmuid O ' Connell is still doing the Giles Circuit at Dartmouth. I hear Buddha was kid- napped and is now being worshipped in India. When last heard from, Sue Dalrymple, Cal Cesario, Chris Raffa, Tina Figueredo, Dolores Gonsalves, Liz Howard, Madeline Roy, Sheila Pontiz, Ken Pietrowski, Darla Anderson and Katie Salerno were still stranded in Florida from their senior class trip. James Sturdy was too busy to come because he was giving a lecture at M.l.T. Our tenth year reunion was really something else. 1 can ' t wait ' til the twentieth!!
