Our class is no excep- tiong one teacher stands out in our minds. She has served us through our four years of high school as teacher, sponsor, and guide. Both in her teaching of English, and in her faithful services as class advisor and I-Ionor Society sponsor, she has helped to direct us towards a successful life. She has understood our problems, listened to our complaints, and inspired us with confidence. In the dedication of this yearbook. we, the Class of 1958, wish to show our appreciation to you, Miss Sullivan, for your continued and patient assistance through our high school days. c I ' in W' SENHUR ADVHSURS Q X WXSTRAA T MR. H ardly had we commenced our studies, when we chose class pins , A nd held our first class party in the cafeteria. S uccessfully we completed this year and moved on to S ophomores when, along with the added work, E veryone found the time to make our Leap Year Whirl a success. T empur fugil, and soon we found ourselves A s juniors, making preparations to receive class rings, and initiate members into the Honor Society. L o and behold our Frosty Frolic and prom gave the final touch to an un- forgettable year, and in a W hirl of excitement we soon realized that we had finally become seniors, A ble and willing to work for the time when this memorable Y ear will reach its climax-that day in June when we S hall stand ready and happy to receive our diplomas, hopefully facing our future. This is the Toast of the Tessahocf' starring syndi- cated punster and celebrated emcee, Richard Conant, with a host of stars in- cluding Tom Tennessee Ernie Keefe, Sue Marguerite Piazzi Nowack, choreographer Glori Breining, cinema actress Wendy Walton, and pro-foot- ball halfback Greg Koval, to name only a few. And here is our master of ceremonies now: Good evening, friends. We have a r-r-really big show for you tonight! But first I want you to meet some of the folks in our audience. To the right we have a team of scientists who have just succeeded in sending to the moon a rocket ship manned by a chimpanzee. Stand up and take a bow, Professors Ingram, Bates, Vanderweil, and Towle. Next to them, who just returned from a trip to India, is our ambassador Mary Humphreys. And a little farther back, we are honored to have with us, straight from the Indianapolis Speedway, the winner of this year's race, Pete Wood, who drove a souped-up Campbell Special with a Fig carburator and a Dolan Differential. His pit helper, Bill Kelsch, is also here with him. First on the agenda is a word from our sponsor. Take it away, Beverly Ferreira. Thank you, Dick. This part of the show is brought to you by Pompeo's Pizza Pie, found in all Kane's super-duper markets, and Heather's Hats, sold exclusively at Parsor1's Salon, Fifth Avenue. Ladies and Gentlemen, our first guest tonight is Gail Neff, producer of the Wideway hit Sohier Haven co-starring Slinky Lincoln and Larry Figueiredo. She has brought with her four danseuses from her corps de ballet: Virginia Hunt, Kay Signorelli, Ann Roy, and Majorie Silvia. We shall see them perform after a few more introduction from our audience. Our camera is focused upon some internationally famous fashion de- signers: Vivian Rogers, Dianne Falconer, and Eunice Silvia. They are fashion- ing the inaugural gown for our newly-elected Governor of Massachusetts, Katherine Barrett, whose worthy council members, Roberta Lawson and Carol Vaughan, are also with us tonight. Yes, they say it's a woman's world! We also have some professional men here tonight: Dr. Macdonald, who has just succeeded in pulling a tooth from a giant gorilla, and his assistant, Miss Howe. Seated beside him is Dr. Hansen and his assistant, Miss janet Lincoln. Please take a bow, ladies and gentlemen. In the next row we have our distinguished Miss Mulcahy, head of the Mathematics Department at Harvard. Grace Bates, editor of the Cohasset Chronicle, and her feature writer, Rita Antoine, complete our introductions. And now, on with the show . . .
