FOOTBALL With only six players returning from last year ' s squad, Coach Dorr had his hands full or youngsters who had no previous football experience. This and the fact that all through the season he was confronted with injuries to key men made this season one which Coach Dorr will hope to better next year. Even though we had a winless season, there were a few bright spots to look back on. The most important one was Norm Frates ' all-around play and his being elected to the South Shore All- Scholastic Team. Bill Reid. a senior playing football for the first time, also won an All-Star berth. The spirit of the townspeople has helped the boys tremendously. To show how much they ap- preciate that backing, the boys will be out next year with the determination to win. Coach Dorr has some very fine potentials to work with during the next few years. We the graduating class of 53 wish him and the future teams the best of luck always. SCORES OF ' 52 GAMES Cohasset 13 Weston 33 Cohasset Wayland 8 Cohasset W. The team consisted of thirteen players, all of whom worked together very well. They tried very hard to win a game but did not succeed. Although they lost four games and tied three, they accepted the results in a sportsman-like manner. Only one player will be lost by graduation; so next year Cohasset should have a championship team. Marion Meehan, Janice Cowdrey, and Jerry McLaughlin were the only scorers with one goal each. Peggy McLellan was the manager of the team, with Ruth Stover as captain. The squad consisted of Marion Meehan, Shirley Meehan. Helen Salvador, Janice Cowdrey, Jerry McLaughlin, Nancy Lawson, Judith Ingram, Jane Waterman. Carolyn Casady, Paula Grassie, Paula Carolan. Marjorie Howe, and Barbara Taylor. Scores Cohasset 1 Kingston 1 Cohasset Hanover 1 Cohasset 1 Scituate 1 Cohasset Marshfield 4 Cohasset Norwell Cohasset 1 Pembroke 2 Cohasset Duxbury 3 25
