Business Manager: Nancy Emerson Dedication Four years of English taught by “Mac” in the North-Linn Com- munity School District (Coggon) has given us more than skills and in- formation. We have learned that a teacher can be a real friend. His friendly smile and understanding counsel have helped us meet the daily problems of a student and will continue to aid us in meeting the problems of life. In teaching us the game of school he has prepared us for the game of life. We, the class of 1966, respectfully dedicate to you, Mr. McAreavy, our yearbook. Senior High Football PERFECT RECORD; CONFERENCE CHAMPS The first year for the Coggon football squad under the name of North- Linn proved to be extremely successful. They ended the season with a 8-0 overall record and a 6-0 conference record to be named Pinicon Conference Champs. Coach Carney said of the team, The perfect season was the re- sult of an exceptional team effort. It is interesting to note that the team was never behind in any game. The squad was picked by the conference coaches as a second division team. The Senior boy receiving the Jim Arduser Award was Dave Kerr. He was a co-captain with Dave Henderson. On November 1, the Student Council provided for a party for the junior and senior high school honoring the team and coaches. A cake was pre- sented to them. Mr. Carney was the head coach; assistant coaches were Mr. Albers, Mr. Sodawasser, and Mr. Dettbarn.
