Senior Trip At 12:01 a. m. , Wednesday, May 13, we boarded a 45 pasgenger charter bus; our destination, Detroit, Michigan. Accompanying us (26 seniors in all) were Mr. and Mrs. Keith Allenstein and Mister Ed , the bus driver. A stop was made at 1:30 a. m. in Galena, Illinois, to pick up our tour guide, Mr. Lewis Hillard. At daybreak, we were on the express-way passing through Chicago. We arrived in Benton Harbor, Michigan at 7:30 a. m. We enjoyed breakfast at the Howard Johnson Restaurant. We arrived at our Esquire Motel at 11:15 a. m. in Dearborn, Michigan. The rooms were equipped with television, radio, and room-to-room telephone service. At 2:00 p. m., we were on our way to Windsor Ontario, Canada. The after- noon was spent shopping and sight-seeing. That evening we ate at a supper club, Top Hat. Thursday morning we spent touring the Greenfield Village and the Ford Mu- seum. The Ford Plant was viewed in the afternoon. We saw the Rouge Plant where they heat the steel for the cars. Thursday night we went to a cinerama. What a show! Friday morning we boarded the bus at 5:30 a. m. We stopped in Chicago at O'Hare Airport at 11:30, toured the airport and ate lunch. We also passed through the slums of Chicago on our way home. We arrived home at approximately 6:15 p. m. All were tired but everyone had lots of fun. It will always be remembered as a very successful senior trip.
