“I ,. fff 2935 AND EIGHIH GRADES Room four has thirty-two members, twenty in Grade seven, and twelve in grade eivht. Four members of our group are from the New Boston dis- trict, and three are from McDavid's Point district. We are Qlad to have them. We helped make the school carnival a success by securing donations, helping decorate the gymnasium, and entertaining the crowd with two short playlets NThe Troublesome Fordu and WThe New Teacher.u At Halloween time our P. T. A. room mothers, Mrs. Young, and Mrs. Neathery, gave us a weiner roast and hay ride. It was lots of fun. The members of our team are Bob Blackburn,Bill Blackburn,Joe McFarland and Leon Lewis, of the eixhth grade, and Charles Clayton,Rohert White, Richard White, Carl Ganser, Dean Huber, James Howard, and Tommy Elmore of the seventh grade. Our cheerleaders are Barbara Huber, Melbourine Bess, and Barbara Neathery of the eiqhth qradeg and Neva Huber of qrade seven. The appearance, conduct and enthusiasm of our cheerleaders has earned much favorable comment. Our room has charge of the soda concession at school events. With the proceeds we have been able to subscribe to two mamazines, have purcha d new blouses for the cheerleaders, and we will finance our annual outing by bus. Soon we shall decide whether to visit places of interest at Springfield and New Salem or go to Forest Park Zoo and the Highlands at St. Louis.
